I think it's safe to say we've found a new church home which we love. The community is small but the fellowship is great. We are trying to get out there and meet new people. This has been a little difficult with the summer travel months but as school starts here we expect people to settle back in.
Josh is getting settled in at work and we have hired a housekeeper for the day to day at the house. We are patiently waiting on our car but thankfully have a loaner for the meantime. We've used said car to explore the city and even got out into the surrounding areas last weekend.
Overall Georgia has exceeded our expectations thus far. I know that part of it may be the initial draw of a new place but I see us really settling in here and loving it. Everyone has been so welcoming and we still have a lot of the country to explore!
In the weeks to come we are looking forward to a few trips and events. This weekend we are headed to a vineyard to participate in the annual harvest and grape stomping. I am excited to see if Mara gets into this activity! We are also hoping to visit the old capital sometimes this month. We drove by it last month and it looks like a great place to spend a Saturday. At the end of this month we will celebrate our little girl's birthday. I can't believe she is turning 2! We are throwing her a small cat themed party per her request!
