Dear Baby Girl

Dear Baby Girl,

Here I sit weeks away from your second birthday in disbelief.  How did the time move so quickly? How have you gotten so big so fast?  That old saying where the days are long but the years are fast is so true.  It was just yesterday they put you in my arms for the first time and I got to touch that beautiful face of yours.

So much has changed baby girl.  You are the most precious girl.  Sure you have your toddler moments but at the end of the day it's hard to remember them for the good usually out weighs any strife.

You have the most caring heart.  You are quick to share and make sure everyone around you has the same you do.  You love hard and never refuse a hug or a kiss from Mommy and Daddy.  Our favorite is the unexpected squeezes you bestow when we least expect it.

You are the silliest.  You love to make others laugh and smile.  You sing songs and dance to entertain especially where there is anything resembling a stage around.  You have recently started making funny faces and getting a sense of humor.  It's such a blessing to see your personality blossom.

Mommy and Daddy are so proud of you Baby Girl.  You have handled so much change in your short life with such grace.  You are doing amazing here in Georgia and we know it will only get better.  You are learning new skills, meeting new people and taking in a new culture/language.  In some ways, little girl, you did this all better than us!  We can't wait to see what you make of your new home, to watch you make new friends, meet your new little sister, explore the country and start your first day of school.  So many first for you will be here and we are so excited for you!

Baby Girl we are so blessed to be called your parents.  Each night we thank the Lord for you and tell Him what a gift he has given us! Some days are long and hard on both us but remember that our love for you will never fail.  It won't change.  We will always be here loving and supporting you along the way.  We're your biggest fans and your strongest encouragers.
