I am always trying to find new recipes that will work over here in Kenya. Usually that means substituting one ingredient for another or some math to convert metric to inches. Today was no exception as things such as bread flour and parchment paper just don't exist over here. Luckily this didn't take away much from these delicious treats.

Jen- those look really good! I've never attempted to make pretzels, but they look complicated. It has to be difficult to not be able to just stroll to the store to pick up exact ingredients but it looks like you are getting by. I really enjoy following your blog and reading about your adventures in Africa. Hope it's treating you well, Janell
ReplyDeleteJanell-They are so easy even with the limitations of living over here! Here's the receipe if you ever want to give it a try! http://allrecipes.com/Recipe/Mall-Pretzels/Detail.aspx You can kind of improvise as to how you want to flavor them. I'm glad you enjoy the blog. I love writing it! I love reading yours as well especially all the farm-antique inspired treasures you seem to find. Jen
ReplyDeleteThanks for the recipe, Jen! I can't wait to try them out. I'm glad you enjoy my blog. I've always enjoyed writing and the blog is just sort of a creative outlet for me now. Hope all is well!
